Understanding Men at Work
Insight-led Workshops and Reviews for Impact and Gender Harmony

A key feature of our 2025 International Men’s Day event was a photographic exhibition exploring “A Week in the Life of a Man”, for which a number of men created photo journals reflecting a typical week in their lives, with a focus on experiences that made them:

  • Feel Grateful

  • Smile

  • Feel pressure or challenge

  • Feel alone

  • Feel thoughtful

  • Feel Connected to others

Building on this, we offer workshops for men that explore experiences beyond the surface-level focus on Recruitment, Retention, and Progression, attending instead to what men experience at a deeper, often unseen level.

Through the exploration and sharing of experiences, organisations will find that:

  • Men feel more seen, valued, and understood

  • Challenges are identified and practical, context-aware solutions are developed both in the room and beyond

  • Relationships and openness are strengthened, creating a more psychologically safe, positive, and productive work environment

  • A clearer understanding of men’s needs and what supports them best is developed as the workplace evolves

  • Organisations gain the insight and confidence to better support men and bring out the best in them

  • Men become better positioned to support women and others, contributing to greater gender harmony

This work can be delivered as a standalone workshop or as an organisational review, providing organisations with a grounded picture of the experiences of men at work.

The review offers insight into: -

 Men’s needs, pressures, and concerns

- Drivers and inhibitors of performance

- What men wish leaders better understood

- The support men need to optimise their value, contribution, and impact in the workplace for the benefit of all

Key Deliverables:

  • Confidential interviews

  • Thematic analysis

  • Insight into male workplace experience

  • A leadership action blueprint

  • Recommendations for greater male engagement, impact, and gender harmony.
